Jira

Overview

Jira helps teams plan, assign, track, report, and manage work - bringing together everything from agile software development to customer support. With this integration, you can easily bring important context from Jira into Notion to create visibility into the latest updates and improve collaboration.

Use a link preview to see Jira content directly in a Notion page with the Jira connection.

Set up a synced database to bring Jira projects and issues into Notion as databases - use database filters, views, rollups, and relations to build Notion workflows with your synced Jira items. Workspace owners are required to set up the connection to the workspace using the Jira Sync connection, found in the Import tab. After the connection is set up, anyone in the workspace can use it.

How to use

  • To create a preview of Jira content in Notion, paste any Jira link into Notion, then select Paste as preview. You can also type /jira in any Notion page and a menu will appear, allowing you to paste links directly. If it’s your first time using Jira with Notion, you will be prompted to authorize the integration. Follow the prompts to complete the authorization process. Once authorized, you will see a detailed preview of the linked content. Link previews can be viewed by anyone in the workspace with access to the Notion page. Learn more about Notion’s link previews

  • To sync data from Jira into Notion databases, workspace owners are required to set up the connection to the workspace using the Jira Sync connection, found in the Import tab. An empty database will show up and you can customize the Jira projects and properties to be synced in the source menu in the ...settings. There will be a banner at the top of the page when the sync is in progress. After the connection is set up, anyone in the workspace can use it. Learn more about Notion’s Jira Sync.
